Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 27/09 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

for the period until midnight EDT Tuesday 31 March 2009.
Warning Summary at issue time

Details of warnings are available on the Bureau's website www.bom.gov.au, by
telephone 1300-659-217* or through some TV and radio broadcasts.
Weather Situation
A high pressure system just west of Victoria will move across the State during
Saturday. A weakening front will move eastwards across Tasmania on Sunday.
Another high pressure system will drift to the south of Tasmania on Monday,
then strengthen over the south Tasman Sea on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of Friday
Fine and generally clear. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.
Forecast for Saturday
Fine apart from isolated morning fog in the south. Possible light frost in the
southwest during the early morning. A generally mild and mostly sunny day with
light northwesterly winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.
Maximum Fire Danger: Generally high, reaching very high in the northwest.
Forecast for Sunday
Fine. A mild to warm and mainly sunny day. Generally light winds and afternoon
coastal seabreezes.
Forecast for Monday
Morning drizzle patches about the central and west coast. Isolated showers
possible in the southwest during the afternoon and evening. A warm day inland,
milder in the south. Light to moderate south to southeast winds, freshening
about the coast.
Forecast for Tuesday
Isolated showers or drizzle near the coast and in Gippsland, mainly during the
morning. A mild to warm day with light to moderate northeast to southeasterly
winds, freshening near the coast.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EDT Saturday.
