Strong Sales Performance by French Peas
PARIS - Feb 25/03 - STAT -- France continues to register a strong performance, with field pea exports so far this marketing year jumping 53% ahead of levels recorded during the first half of the 2001-02 sales campaign.
All the increase is accounted for by heavy export shipments to the Indian subcontinent, with clearances between July and December more than doubling from 197,683 metric tons (MT) last season to 428,573 MT so far during the 2002-03 marketing year, according to the latest trade numbers compiled by UNIP.
