Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update
MELBOURNE - Mar 17/09 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Warning Summary at issue time: Strong Wind Warning for NSW coastal waters south of Green Cape. For the latest warning information please check the Bureau's web site www.bom.gov.au/weather/nsw Current Weather Situation and Future Developments: A low situated near Tasmania is moving slowly east, while an associated trough lies over northeastern New South Wales. Behind the trough, a ridge of high pressure is extending across from the west, bringing generally cooler and drier air. This ridge will become the dominant feature for much of the week, with fine and stable conditions for most districts. Forecast for Wednesday Isolated showers over the northeast corner. Fine elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds. Forecast for Thursday Isolated showers on the far north coast. Fine elsewhere. Mainly light winds. Forecast for Friday Isolated showers about the coast and adjacent ranges north from the Illawarra. Fine elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds. Forecast for Saturday Isolated showers about the coast and adjacent ranges north from the Hunter. Fine elsewhere. Southest to northeast winds.
