USDA National Grain Review

ST. JOSEPH - Feb 21/03 - SNS -- The USDA issued its latest weekly national grain market review, covering the period through Feb 21.

     20,000      Apr 11-May 10
CCC Angola        Yellow Corn                      57,220      Mar 5-20
Taiwan            Yellow Corn                      56,000      Mar-Apr

Totals:  Wheat 76,000 tonnes.  Feed Barley 20,000 tonnes.  Corn 113,220
Tonnes.

  THE ONLY SALES THAT COULD BE CONFIRMED BY THE USDA GRAIN MARKET NEWS.** 
  
   WHEAT:  Kansas US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid 1/2 cent
lower to 1/2 cent higher from 4.04-4.16 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 Soft Red Winter rail bid 2 1/2 cents higher from 3.36-3.66 per bushel.  St. Louis truck US No 2 Soft Red Winter terminal bid 8 cents higher from 3.65-3.67 per bushel.  Minneapolis and Duluth US No 1 Dark Northern Spring, 14.0-14.5 per-
cent protein rail, 17 to 22 cents higher at 4.65 1/2 per bushel.  Portland US Soft White Wheat, 2 cents lower from 3.84-3.87 per bushel.
  
   CORN:  Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn 6 to 7 cents lower from 3.14-
3.16 per bushel.  US No 2 truck Yellow Corn 4 to 5 cents lower at 2.45-2.46
per bushel.  Omaha US No 2 truck Yellow Corn 4 to 5 cents lower at 2.28-2.29
per bushel.  Chicago US No 2 Yellow Corn 1 1/4 to 2 1/4 cents lower from 2.37 1/2-2.45 1/2 per bushel.  Toledo US No 2 rail Yellow corn 3 1/4 cents lower
from 2.45 1/2-2.49 1/2 per bushel.  Minneapolis US No 2 Yellow Corn rail, 1/4 cent lower at 2.21 1/2 per bushel. 
  
   OATS AND BARLEY:  US 2 or Better oats, rail to arrive at Minneapolis was  
1 1/4 to 2 1/4 cents lower from 2.27 1/2-2.31 1/2.  US No 3 or better truck 
Malting Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis was steady at
3.75.  Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-export steady to 10 cents 
lower from 5.55-5.65 per cwt.
  
   SORGHUM:  US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 17 cents lower at 4.29 per 
cwt.  Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid to the 
farmer, fob elevator) was 2 cents higher to 8 cents lower from 3.87-4.12 per cwt.
    
   OILSEEDS:  Illinois Processors US No 1 Yellow truck Soybeans 3 1/4 to 5 1/4 cents lower from 5.71 1/2-5.80 1/2 bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 Yellow truck soybeans 7 to 4 cents lower at 5.70-5.73 per bushel.  Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans in limited supply 3 1/4 cents lower at 5.50 1/2 per bushel.  Decatur 
48 percent soybean meal, processor rail bid 5.00 lower from 174.50-176.50 per ton.  Decatur crude Soybean oil processor bid 44 to 69 points higher at 21.19-21.44 cents per pound.  Sunflower Crude Oil 34 points higher at 32.55 cents 
per pound.
