Steady Drop in Fruit InventoryWASHINGTON - Feb 20/09 - SNS -- Frozen vegetable supplies sank 8% during January to finish the month at almost 2,172 million pounds, up 161 million pounds from the previous year, according to the USDA's latest report on agricultural products in cold storage. Compared to the previous month, stocks of asparagus, chopped broccoli, mixed vegetables, and southern greens were up. Compared to last year, stocks of fordhook lima beans, french styl green beans, cauliflower and blackeye peas.
