Continued Drop in Fruit InventoryWASHINGTON - Feb 20/09 - SNS -- Frozen fruit supplies dropped 108 million pounds in January to finish the month at almost 1,138 million pounds, down 3 million pounds from the previous year, according to the USDA's latest report on agricultural products in cold storage. Inventories of frozen juice rose 25% from the previous year and were 8% higher than the previous month at 1,569 million pounds. Fresh apples stocks finished the month at 4,405 million pounds, up 14% from last year, and down 843 million pounds from the previous month.
