Weather Situation A high pressure system south of the Bight will move steadily eastwards and should move to the south of Tasmania Sunday night. The high should reach the Tasman Sea on Monday before remaining almost stationary until at least mid-week. An upper low pressure system over northern New South Wales will move slowly southeastwards over the next few days. Forecast for the rest of Saturday Fine apart from isolated showers in east Gippsland and areas of smoke haze. Mild to warm with generally light winds inland and sea breezes about the coast. Forecast for Sunday Fine apart from isolated showers in Gippsland and areas of smoke haze. Mild to warm with generally light to moderate southeast winds, freshening about the coast with afternoon sea breezes. Maximum Fire Danger: Moderate to High, reaching Very High in the northwest. Forecast for Monday Fine apart from isolated showers in Gippsland and over the far northeast and areas of smoke haze.
