MELBOURNE - Feb 13/09 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Warning summary Strong Wind Warning for coastal waters Coral Bay to Caiguna. Fire Weather Warning for the Central West Inland sub district, the Lower West District and the Central Wheat Belt for Saturday. Forecast for Friday evening Kimberley: Scattered showers and thunderstorms in the north and west with moderate to heavy falls. Isolated showers and thunderstorms in the remainder. Pilbara, and the NW Gascoyne: Isolated afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. SW Land Division: Isolated showers and thunderstorms in western parts. Fine over the remainder of the state. Forecast for Saturday Kimberley: Isolated showers and thunderstorms in the north and west, scattered at times in the west with some moderate to heavy falls. Near the Pilbara coast: Isolated showers and thunderstorms extending from the east during the day. Inland west Pilbara and inland Gascoyne: Isolated afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.
