Canola Crush May Not Reach 1.9 MMTOTTAWA - Feb 19/03 - SNS -- Canadian canola crush activity remains well below that of recent years and at its current pace may not break through the two million metric ton (MT) market by the end of the 2002-03 marketing year for the first time in a decade. Crush during January totalled just 145,732 MT, according to the latest data available from Statistics Canada, down from the 212,233 MT crushed during the same month last year and the lowest level for the month since 1992 when under 143,000 MT of canola was processed by Canadian crushers.
