Australia -- New South Wales Weather UpdateMELBOURNE - Feb 13/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology. For Friday WARNINGS: A Fire Weather Warning for Very High to Extreme fire danger and a Total Fire Ban for the Northwest Plains district. Strong wind warning for coastal water south of Port Hacking for Saturday. STATE FORECAST Very High fire danger west of the ranges. Today showers and isolated thunderstorms on the northern half of the coast and adjacent ranges, with thunderstorms most likely on the Northern Tablelands. On Saturday, possible showers and thunderstorms in the northeast and southeast corner and the northeastern inland. Mainly dry remainder. Very warm to hot inland. Warm and humid on the coast. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds, becoming fresh and gusty north to northeast along the southern half of the coast on Saturday. This forecast is issued daily at 05.15, 1120 and 16.30.
