Domestic shipment: Offers, fob mills, milled rice, spot prices, dollars
per cwt, bagged. (All milled rice grade No 2 not to exceed 4 percent brokens,
except California grade No 1. All second heads grade No 4 or better, second
head and brewers are bulk.)

Domestic Situation
Domestic milled rice price quotes were steady to lower in south and steady in
California this week. By-products were uneven in the south and steady to lower
in California.
In the south, long grain rice price quotes were steady to 2.00 lower, quoted
mostly at 28.50-32.50; medium grain prices were steady, quoted mostly at 45.00-
46.50; parboiled quotes were steady to 2.00 lower, quoted mostly at 31.50-36.00;
second heads were steady to 1.50 lower, quoted mostly at 25.50-27.00; brewers
were steady to 2.00 lower, quoted mostly at 25.00-26.00. Rice by-products:
Market remains slow. Offers for rice bran were uneven, mostly 5.00 higher;
millfeed was untested; hulls were uneven.
In California, medium grain milled rice prices were steady, quoted mostly at
45.00-47.50; short grain prices were steady; second heads were steady to 1.00
lower, quoted mostly at 34.00-37.00; brewers were steady, quoted mostly at
26.00-28.00. Rice bran was 3.00 lower; rice hulls were steady.
