Australia -- Victoria Weather UpdateMELBOURNE - Feb 13/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology. Warnings Nil. Weather Pattern A ridge of high pressure will persist south of Victoria during Friday. A low pressure trough will develop over eastern Victoria on Saturday before deepening and moving east of the State during Sunday. A high pressure system well south of the Bight will move slowly eastwards on Monday and extend a ridge over Victoria. Victoria Friday: Fine apart from early fogs in the south. A warm to hot and mostly sunny day with light to moderate southeasterly wind and afternoon coastal sea breezes. Fire danger: Moderate to high in the south, grading high to very high in the north. UV Index: 10 [very high] decreasing 6 [high] under cloud Saturday: Early fogs in Gippsland. Patchy rain in the north and west later. Generally warm. Sunday: Areas of rain and thunderstorms contracting eastward. Showers to follow, mainly in the south. Becoming cooler with a freshening wind. Monday: Early rain in the far east.
