For Friday WARNINGS: A Fire Weather Warning for Very High to Extreme fire danger and a Total Fire Ban for the Northwest Plains. STATE FORECAST Very High fire danger west of the ranges. Isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms, chiefly about the central and northern ranges, and adjacent slopes and coast. Cloudy periods with some morning drizzle along the southern half the coast and adjacent slopes. Mainly sunny and dry remaining inland. Very warm to hot. Humid on the coast. Winds light to moderate east to southeast, fresh along the coast at times. HEADLINE: Isolated showers/thunderstorms chiefly along the northern/central ranges, and adjacent slopes and coast.
