Current Weather Situation and Future Developments: A high pressure system near Tasmania extends a ridge along New South Wales coast. On Saturday the high will move over the Tasman Sea maintaining the ridge across the northeast of the state. During Sunday a broad low pressure trough is expected to develop over the west possible bringing isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms there.
