Warning Summary at issue time Strong wind warning for Victorian waters between Portland and Cape Paterson. Gale warning for Victorian waters between Cape Paterson and 60nm east of Gabo Island. Weather Situation A high pressure system south of the Bight will move across Victoria during Friday night before consolidating over the Tasman Sea during the weekend. A trough of low pressure will develop over the north of the state on Sunday and Monday. Forecast for the rest of Thursday Isolated showers on and south of the divide, mainly in West Gippsland. Cool to mild with fresh west to southwest winds, stronger along parts of the coast. Forecast for Friday Isolated showers in the south clearing from the west.
