Australia -- New South Wales Weather UpdateMELBOURNE - Feb 12/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology. For Thursday WARNINGS: A Fire Weather Warning for Very High to Extreme fire danger and a Total Fire Ban for the Northwest Slopes and Plains, Lower Western and Southern Tablelands districts until midnight Thursday . STATE FORECAST Very High fire danger inland. Isolated showers and thunderstorms about the coast and adjacent ranges today and over much of the eastern half of the state Friday afternoon and evening. Isolated thunderstorms in the northwest clearing today. Cloudy areas west of the Divide but only a little light patchy rain clearing from the southeast inland by this evening. Very warm to hot day; humid on the coast. Light to moderate northwest to southwest on the ranges and western slopes tending south to southeast in the west. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds on the coast. This forecast is issued daily at 05.15, 1120 and 16.30.
