USDA Lifts World Oilseed Crop SizeWASHINGTON - Feb 11/03 - SNS -- Global oilseed production for 2002-03 is projected at a record 326.5 million metric tons (MT), up 2.5 million MT from last month. Foreign oilseed production accounts for all of the change. Soybean production is increased 2 million MT for Brazil to a record 51 million MT as yield prospects have benefited from almost ideal weather. Global sunflower seed production is raised 0.4 million MT this month as increases in Russia and Ukraine are only partially offset by a reduction for Argentina. Other changes this month include increased cottonseed production for China. Soybean imports by China are projected to reach a record 15 million MT, up 0.5 million MT from last month.
