Orange Forecast Gains 1%WASHINGTON - Feb 11/03 - SNS -- Orange production in the United States now looks better than expected last month, with the USDA now estimating the 2002-03 crop at 11.3 million tons, up 1% from the January 1 forecast but 10% below last season's final utilization. Florida's all orange forecast is increased to 199 million boxes (8.96 million tons), 1% above the January 1 forecast but 13% below the previous season. Florida frozen concentrated orange juice (FCOJ) yield for the 2002-03 season is forecast at 1.57 gallons per box at 42.0 degrees Brix. This is unchanged from last month's projection.
