Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 11/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

For Wednesday
WARNINGS:
A Total Fire Ban for the Southwest Slopes district until midnight.

STATE FORECAST
Very High fire danger inland and on the southern ranges.  
Isolated showers on the north coast. Isolated late showers and thunderstorms on
the far south coast, central ranges and the northern ranges and slopes. Hot
inland, warm to very warm in the east.  
Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds, tending light to moderate west
to southwest over the southern inland and ranges. 
HEADLINE:
Isolated showers north coast. Isolated late showers/thunderstorms far south
coast, central ranges, northern ranges and slopes.
Outlook for Thursday 
Isolated showers and thunderstorms on the northern and central ranges and
adjacent inland areas. Isolated coastal showers. Dry elsewhere. Hot inland. Warm
to very warm on the coast.
Moderate westerly winds inland and moderate northeast winds in the east, ahead
