Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 10/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

For Tuesday  
WARNINGS:
A Total Fire Ban has been issued for the Central West Plains, Southwest Slopes,
Riverina and Lower Western districts until midnight Tuesday.

STATE FORECAST
Very High fire danger west of the ranges.  
Isolated afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms on the ranges and
northern slopes. Isolated showers along the coast and adjacent ranges. Very warm
to hot inland, warm in the east.  
Light to moderate southerly winds in the west, tending moderate southeast to
northeast in the east, fresh at times on the coast. 
HEADLINE:
Isolated showers and thunderstorms on the ranges, isolated coastal showers, dry
in the west.
Outlook for Wednesday
Isolated showers and thunderstorms on the northern and central ranges and
adjacent inland areas. Isolated showers on the north coast. Dry elsewhere. Very
warm to hot inland. Warm on the coast.
Light to moderate west to southwest winds inland. Light to moderate northeast
