Warning Summary at issue time Strong wind warning for Victorian waters between SA-VIC Border and Mallacoota. Weather Situation A cold front will cross Tasmania early Wednesday. A high pressure system will drift over Victoria later Wednesday, reaching the Tasman Sea on Thursday. A low pressure trough will cross South Australia on Thursday and Victoria on Friday. Forecast for the rest of Tuesday Isolated showers in the south, mainly near the coast. Cool to mild and partly cloudy with moderate to fresh westerly wind. Maximum Fire Danger: Generally high in northern and central areas. Forecast for Wednesday Isolated showers in the south, clearing later. Fine in the north. Mild with moderate southwesterly winds. Forecast for Thursday Fine in central and eastern parts but patchy rain developing in the west. Generally warm with moderate to locally fresh northeast to northerly winds. Forecast for Friday Patchy rain contracting eastwards during the morning. Isolated showers to follow with local thunderstorms in the northeast. Milder westerly change extending from the west.
