Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 28/08 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning Summary:
Major Flood Warning for the Peel River. Strong Wind Warning for
coastal waters north of Smoky Cape. Ocean Wind Warning. Refer to
www.bom.gov.au for the latest warning information.
Current Weather Situation and Future Developments:
A low pressure system will deepen in the Tasman Sea during Saturday
as a high pressure ridge moves into NSW behind it. As a result, the
weather through much of western NSW will be fine. A low pressure
trough will however linger across northeastern New South Wales and
continue to produce showers or thunderstorms in the east. A clearing
trend however is expected through Saturday, with weather over most of
the state fine by Sunday. Fine weather is expected to continue
through until the middle of the week as the ridge remains over the
state.
Forecast for Saturday
Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in the east. Mostly fine
in the west, just the chance of a shower or two in the far southwest
during the afternoon. Southwest winds extending throughout.
Forecast for Sunday
Isolated clearing showers over the western slopes of the far southern
ranges. Fine elsewhere. West to southwest winds.
Forecast for Monday
Isolated showers over the western slopes of the far southern ranges.
West to southwest winds and coastal seabreezes.
Forecast for Tuesday
Fine throughout. West to northwest winds and coastal seabreezes.
