Australia -- New South Wales Weather UpdateMELBOURNE - Feb 9/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology. For Monday WARNINGS: Nil. STATE FORECAST High to Very High fire danger west of the ranges. Scattered showers and isolated afternoon thunderstorms on and east of a trough, extending from the northwest of the state into southeastern parts. Cloudy with isolated showers or patchy rain in the northeast. Early morning drizzle or fog patches along the coast and adjacent ranges. Dry in the west of the state. Areas of bushfire smoke in the southeast. Warm to very warm and humid in the east, hot inland. Light to moderate northeast to east winds over the northeastern half, light south to southwest winds over the southwestern half.
