Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 8/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

WARNINGS:

STATE FORECAST
Very High fire danger inland.  
Scattered showers and isolated afternoon thunderstorms on and east of a trough,
extending from the northwest of the state into southeastern parts. Cloudy with
isolated showers or patchy rain in the northeast. A little drizzle along the
southern coast and adjacent slopes overnight or early morning. Dry over the
southwestern districts. 
Areas of bushfire smoke in the southeast. Warm to very warm and humid in the
east and hot inland. 
Light to moderate northeast to southeast winds over the northeastern half, light
south to southwest winds over the southwestern half.
