Ukraine Sunmeal Exports up 55%
KIEV - Feb 8/03 - APK -- In December last year Ukraine exported a record amount of sunflower meal - 83,000 metric tons (MT). The previous record of 80,200 MT was registered in October 2002.
Over the first four months of 2002-03 MY (September through December) the country exported 270,000 MT of sunflower meal, which is 18% more than the export over the corresponding period the year before.
Total export of sunflower meal in 2002 calendar year was 619,000 MT -- up 54.8% from the 400,000 MT exported in 2001.
