Australia -- New South Wales Weather UpdateMELBOURNE - Feb 7/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology. For Saturday WARNINGS: Nil. STATE FORECAST Very High fire danger inland. Isolated showers and thunderstorms over much of the state, becoming scattered during the afternoons about the western slopes and ranges. Remaining dry over the southwestern districts and mainly dry in the far northeast. Areas of bushfire smoke in the southeast. Warm to very warm and humid in the east and hot inland. Chiefly moderate northeast winds over the northeast half of the state and moderate southerly winds through the southwest half. Southerly winds freshening along the south and central coasts later today. This forecast is issued daily at 05.15, 1120 and 16.30.
