Silver Named Interim Agricore United PresidentWINNIPEG - Feb 7/03 - SNS -- Neil Silver of Huxley, Alberta was elected interim president and chairman of Agricore United at the company's board meeting today. Silver replaces Ted Allen, who stepped down yesterday. The Board of Directors elected Silver to these positions on an interim basis to allow Board members time to consider a successor to Allen. Silver has indicated he will not be seeking these positions following the interim period. The board also named its Executive Committee. They include Member Directors Neil Silver, Wayne Drul, Maurice Lemay, Rob Pettinger and Terry Youzwa and non-Member Director Jon K. Grant. Wayne Drul of Oakburn, Manitoba was elected as First Vice President, Maurice Lemay of Tangent was elected Alberta Vice President, Terry Youzwa of Nipawin was elected Saskatchewan Vice President, and Rob Pettinger of Elgin was elected Manitoba Vice President.
