Current Weather Situation and Future Developments: A broad low pressure trough across central and northern Australia is advecting cloud and moisture over New South Wales. During Tuesday and Wednesday the trough will deepen and extend over the western parts of the state bringing rain and thunderstorms throughout. On Thursday the trough should deepen further and move over the southern Tasman Sea, with the rain and thunderstorms easing. Forecast for Tuesday Rain in the north and west extending to the southeast during the afternoon or evening. Local moderate falls in the north. Isolated thunderstorms in the northwest. Generally light to moderate northwest to northeast winds, freshening along the coast in the afternoon. Forecast for Wednesday Rain areas. Isolated thunderstorms inland. Strengthening northeast to northwest winds. Forecast for Thursday Showers in the west. Rain periods and isolated thunderstorms in the east, easing during the day. Southwest to northwest winds.
