Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 14/08 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning Summary:
Strong Wind Warning for coastal waters south of Crowdy Head for Friday. Refer to
www.bom.gov.au for the latest warning information.
Current Weather Situation and Future Developments:
A high is over New Zealand. A front over eastern New South Wales will reach the
Mid North Coast Saturday afternoon, and pass through the remainder of the
northeast on Sunday. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected ahead of
and near the front with some further isolated showers behind it over the inland
on Saturday. Cloud and isolated showers will also persist along the southern
coast.  A northwest cloud band is expected to develop within a trough over
northwestern Australia on Sunday and this will move into New South Wales later
Monday or Tuesday, bringing the prospect of good general rain mid-week.
Forecast for Saturday
Isolated showers possible throughout, clearing from the southern inland during
the day. Isolated thunderstorms in the northeast. A moderate to fresh south to
southwest change, tending southeast along the coast, extending into the far
northeast.
Forecast for Sunday
Isolated showers and thunderstorms  in the north, increasing in the afternoon
about the Northern Tablelands. Isolated  showers about the remaining coast and
east ranges, and fine over the remainder. South to southeast winds, fresh about
much of the coast.
Forecast for Monday
Isolated showers contracting northwards along the southern coast. Scattered
showers in the northeast. Increasing cloud in the north and west with some
patchy rain developing over the northeastern inland, possibly extending to the
southwest later.  Chance of afternoon thunderstorms about the northern inland.
Fine remainder. East to southeast winds
Forecast for Tuesday
Rain developing over the northern and western inland and contracting eastwards,
with isolated thunderstorms  in the northwest. Showers developing over the
remainder. Cloud extending throughout the state. Northwest to northeast winds
tending southeast in the southwest.
