For Friday WARNINGS: A Total Fire Ban and a Fire Weather Warning for Very High to Extreme fire danger in the Riverina district. STATE FORECAST Very High fire danger inland. Cloudy in the northeast and along the northern border with a few showers. Isolated showers and thunderstorms over much of the inland and the southeast Friday afternoon and evening. Fine elsewhere. Areas of bushfire smoke in the southeast. Warm to very warm in the east, very warm to hot inland. Generally moderate southeast to northeast winds, fresh in afternoon and evening on the coast. HEADLINE: Few showers in the northeast and northern border. Isolated afternoon thunderstorms over the inland and the southeast.
