Pea and Lentil Tenders Reach 26,930 MT
KANSAS CITY - Oct 22/08 - STAT -- The quantity of peas and lentils covered by USDA PL-480 food aid tenders this season now totals 102,430 MT, compared to 65,810 MT last year.
Purchases of green peas are up 8,150 MT at 18,440 MT versus 10,290 MT last season. Food aid demand for U.S. regular lentils is up 14,010 MT from last year's 22,190 MT.
