DES MOINES - Oct 22/08 - SNS -- Bi-weekly USDA report on organic grain and feedstuffs prices in the U.S. upper midwest.

Weighted Average Report for the Week Ending      10/18/08

Compared to two weeks ago, organic grain and feedstuff prices were weaker
light demand and moderate offerings. Bids continue to weaken in the
organic sector while producers wait on the completion of harvest.  Many
producers are holding what organic grain they have in hopes of higher prices.
Organic feed corn bids range from $8.50 to $9.00 per bushel.  Organic feed
soybean bids are from $23.00 to $27.00 per bushel, while organic food
grade soybean bids range from $18.00 to $23.00 per bushel.  Monthly and
third quarter average prices located below.  All prices FOB the farm and
negotiated spot market.
