Australia -- New South Wales Weather UpdateMELBOURNE - Feb 4/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology. For Wednesday WARNINGS: Strong Wind Warning for NSW coastal waters north of Seal Rocks and south of Montague Island. STATE FORECAST Very High fire west of the ranges and on the Southern Tablelands and South Coast. Isolated showers on the north coast and adjacent ranges extending to the north of the northern slopes and plains. Cloudy periods with isolated showers or drizzle along the central coast and adjacent ranges, chiefly during the morning. Dry remainder. Moderate to fresh southeast to northeast winds, ahead of a gusty southerly change developing along the southwestern border late in the afternoon. Areas of bushfire smoke in the southeast and areas of raised dust behind the change. Warm to very warm in the east, very warm to hot inland. HEADLINE: Isolated showers, chiefly along the north coast and adjacent ranges, and along the central coast in the morning. Late southerly change in the southwest. Outlook for Thursday Isolated showers over the northeast corner with the chance of isolated late showers or thunderstorms in the northwest and the southwest border areas.
