Australia -- Victoria Weather UpdateMELBOURNE - Feb 3/03 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology. Warnings A strong wind warning is current for Victorian coastal waters east of Lakes Entrance. Weather Pattern A low pressure trough over South Australia will move eastwards, reaching Victoria during Wednesday then stalling over eastern parts of the state during Thursday, Friday and Saturday. A high pressure system will develop south of the Bight on Friday and persist there on Saturday. Victoria Tuesday: Fine. Areas of smoke persisting, particularly in the east. A warm to hot and sunny day inland with chiefly moderate northeast to northerly wind, however conditions tempered about the coast by seabreezes. Fire Danger: Generally high to very high. UV Index: 11 [extreme] Wednesday: Mainly fine, although isolated showers and thunderstorms developing from the west. Warm to hot ahead of a cool change in the south. Thursday: Mainly fine.
