French Pea Export Pace Slows
VANCOUVER - Oct 14/08 - SNS -- France's field pea exports slowed in August, allowing shipments so far during the 2008-09 marketing campaign to slip behind year earlier levels.
Data from the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP) revealed exporters shipped 23,275 metric tons (MT) of peas in August, down from 25,140 MT in July and well below the 39,205 MT of field peas shipped the same month last year.
