Bearish Sunflower ReportVANCOUVER - Oct 10/08 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets finished the week's trading on a mostly easier note. The USDA did not help the situation by an upward revision in sunflower seed acreage in the United States to 2.169 million acres of oil-type and 358,000 acres of confectionary sunflower. It had earlier pegged area at 2.164 million acres of both classes. Sunflower markets were also influenced by weakness in soybean and oilseed markets, which are being hurt by declining crude oil values and a general decline in speculative trading interest.
