NATIONAL BOXED BEEF CUTOUT  LM_XB403

   Boxed beef cutout values were weak on light demand and offerings. Select and
Choice beef cuts were generally steady. Beef trimmings were lower on light demand
and moderate offerings.

   Estimated composite cutout value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses dn 0.66
at 149.51; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses dn 0.65 at 143.24; based on 70.98
loads of Choice cuts, 80.23 loads of Select cuts, 19.46 loads of Trimmings, and
59.97 loads of coarse ground trimmings.

   The Cutter cow carcass gross cutout value was estimated at 121.31 dn 1.57.

BY-PRODUCT DROP VALUE  NW_LS441

   Hide and offal from a typical slaughter steer was estimated at 10.93 down
-0.27 when compared to Thursday's value.

NATIONAL CARLOT PORK  NW_LS500

   Sales reported on 40.5 loads of pork cuts and 9.5 loads of trim/process
pork.

   Compared to Thursday's Close:  Fresh 1/4" trim loins 1.00 higher; boston butts
generally steady; sknd hams 20-23 lbs 5.00 lower, 23-27 lbs steady; sdls bellies
not established; lean trimmings steady. Trading slow, with light demand and mostly
moderate offerings.

   *Calculations for a 200 lb Pork Carcass 53-54 percent lean 0.65" -0.80" back
fat at last rib.* **68.58 dn 0.25**  Loins bone in fresh 1/4 inch trim 21# DN-
