Dairy Product Markets Mostly Up
WASHINGTON - Oct 10/08 - SNS -- Dairy product markets in the United States were largely stronger for the seven days ending October 4., shows this USDA sector report.
Cheddar Cheese prices realized for US 40 pound Blocks averaged $1.92 per pound. The price per pound increased $1.92 versus last week. The price for US 500 pound Barrels adjusted to 38% moisture averaged $1.93 per pound, up $1.93 versus the previous week.
Butter prices received for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.68 per pound. The U.S. price per pound declined 0.0 cents versus the previous week.
Nonfat Dry Milk prices received for bag, tote and tanker sales meeting USDA Extra Grade or USPH Grade A standards averaged $1.06 per pound. The U.S. price per pound rose $1.06 from last week.
