Eastern Cornbelt Organic Grain & Feedstuffs Report (Bi-Weekly)
Weighted Average Report for Week Ending 10/4/2008
Compared to two weeks ago, organic grain and feedstuff prices were
steady to weak. Trading activity was slow for light to moderate offerings.
Feed grade corn and wheat was steady to weak. Feed grade soybeans were
lower in reaction to lack of buying interest. The state of the econcomy have
influenced prices this week more than market fundamentals, resulting in lower
prices. Producer selling was active as few sales of new crop corn and
soybeans have reached the market.
September monthly and 3rd quarter averages of organic prices located below.
All prices FOB the farm and negotiated spot market.
