Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 9/08 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning Summary:
Nil. Refer to Warnings at www.bom.gov.au for the latest information.
Current Weather Situation and Future Developments:
A low pressure trough is developing over northeastern New South Wales. The
trough will deepen during Friday as an upper low moves through bringing showers
and thunderstorms to the northeastern parts of the state. During Saturday and
Sunday showers should contract further northeast as the trough weakens and
another ridge develops. On Monday showers and thunderstorms are expected to
develop over the west and southeast of the state as a cold front passes through.
The front should weaken into a trough over the northeast during Monday.
Forecast for Friday
Isolated showers and thunderstorms over the northeast half, tending scattered on
the North West and Central West Slopes and Plains. Fine elsewhere. Southeast to
northeast winds.
Forecast for Saturday
Scattered showers in the northeast tending isolated near the coast. Fine
elsewhere. Northeast to northwest winds.
Forecast for Sunday
Isolated showers in the northeast contracting further northeast. Fine elsewhere.
Northwest to northeast winds.
Forecast for Monday
Isolated showers and thunderstorms in the west and southeast. Fine in the
northeast. North to northwest winds freshening ahead of southwest change in the
west and southeast.
