Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update
MELBOURNE - Oct 8/08 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Warning Summary: Strong Wind Warning for coastal waters south of Green Cape for Wednesday. Refer to Warnings at www.bom.gov.au for the latest information. Current Weather Situation and Future Developments: On Thursday a low pressure trough will develop over northeastern New South Wales. The trough will deepen during Friday as an upper low moves through bringing showers and thunderstorms to the northeastern parts of the state. During Saturday and Sunday showers should contract further northeast as the trough weakens and another ridge develops. Forecast for Thursday Isolated showers on the north coast and adjacent ranges. Fine elsewhere. Local early frosts about the southern slopes and ranges. Northeast to southeast winds. Forecast for Friday Isolated showers and thunderstorms in the northeast tending scattered on the northern slopes and ranges. Fine elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds. Forecast for Saturday Isolated showers in the northeast tending scattered on the north coast ranges. Fine elsewhere. Northeast to northwest winds. Forecast for Sunday Isolated showers in the northeast contracting further northeast. Fine elsewhere. Northwest to northeast winds.
