Underlying Weakness in BeansVANCOUVER - Sep 26/08 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets are starting to show signs of underlying weakness, despite strong North American and Argentine markets. The U.S. grower index finished the week up 13 points at a record 1338, versus 930 at this time last year. The grower share of the weighted average dealer price for beans now stands at 81.8%, up 0.8 points from last week and up 7.8 points from this time last year. The U.S. spot market index for dry edible bean finished the week at 1464, unchanged from the previous week and compared to 1125 at this time last year.
