Weakness in Canary, MilletVANCOUVER - Sep 26/08 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets registered a mixed performance during the past week, with millet and canaryseed weakening while sunflower was steady to firmer. Canadian grower bids for canaryseed lost almost a penny per pound on the week, while millet bids dropped half a cent. Oil-type sunflower markets were firmer on the week, keeping pace with price activity in soybeans. Confectionary sunflower was unchanged, with new crop bids maintaining a wide premium to spot because of a tighter overall supply situation for the coming season.
