Birdseed Ingredient Markets EaseVANCOUVER - Sep 19/08 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets were generally softer during the past week as harvest selling by western Canadian growers exceeds the short term needs of the market. Growers bids were little changed, however, on account of weakness in the Canadian dollar. Those savings were, however, passed along to buyers with inter-dealer markets slipping U.S. $2 per 100 pounds (cwt) on the week. White proso millet ended the week lower in both dealer and grower markets Oil-type sunflower markets were easier on the week, while confectionary sunflower was unchanged, with new crop bids maintaining a wide premium to spot because of a tighter overall supply situation for the coming season.
