Mixed Week For Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Aug 15/08 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets registered a mixed performance during the past week.
White proso millet ended the week lower in both dealer and grower markets, with supplies of early harvested product overcoming concerns about yields in some production areas.
By contrast, oil-type sunflower markets followed oilseed values higher during the week. They had been in steady decline since the end of June.
