Limited Pea Harvest Activity in CanadaVANCOUVER - Aug 8/08 - SNS -- Limited harvest activity in southern Saskatchewan during the past week allowed spot and new crop markets to converge in Canada during the past week. Harvest activity was also reported in North Dakota, though another week of hot and dry weather is needed for the harvest to become general in southern Saskatchewan and northern U.S. mid-west. Peas are also being harvested in Montana, with the growers in the state requested USDA commodity loans on 270,000 pounds of new crop peas by week's end.
