Mixed Week on Bean MarketsVANCOUVER - Aug 8/08 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets were mixed in seasonally quiet trade during the past week, with tight supplies and uncertainty about weather supporting North American beans. The U.S. grower index finished the week unchanged at 1256, versus 875 at this time last year. The grower share of the weighted average dealer price for beans now stands at 77.2%, unchanged from last week and up 0.5 points from this time last year. The U.S. spot market index for dry edible bean finished the week at 1455, unchanged from the previous week and compared to 1020 at this time last year.
