French Field Pea Exports CollapseVANCOUVER - Aug /08 - SNS -- Field pea exports from France finished the 2007-08 marketing campaign, posting one of the country's largest year over year declines in shipping activity in recent years. Data from the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP) revealed exporters shipped 27,225 metric tons (MT) of peas in June, up from 23,630 MT in May and down from the 48,585 MT of field peas shipped the same month last year. This lifted exports clearances for the 2007-08 marketing campaign to 234,885 MT, down 46.9% from the 442,220 MT shipped the previous marketing year.
