Feed Pea Dealer Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 7/08 - STAT -- Canadian Feed Pea markets finished the 2007-08 marketing year with prices offered to growers rocketing 43% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Feed Pea was CDN$302.50 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $212.07 during the previous three year period for bulk feed peas delivered to the ports of Thunder Bay or Vancouver.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $360.00 per MT in June, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $218.00 per MT in August.
