No 2 Eston Lentil Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 6/08 - STAT -- Canadian No 2 Eston Lentil markets finished the 2007-08 marketing year with prices offered to growers rocketing 57% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 2 Eston Lentil was CDN$23.49 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $14.98 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $33.19 per cwt in June, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $15.55 per cwt in August.
